No man can transform a culture without being informed of its contents; he cannot affect something within which he does not, in some manner, participate.” – Dane Rudhyar, The Astrological Houses

To begin your astrological journey, or continue deeper into it, here are some books I recommend.

The Complete Book of Astrology, by Ada Aubin and June Rifkin

Explanation:  This is a great beginner astrology book, giving in detail, straight forward astrological information.  I still go back to it for reference and I love the broad range of information it covers.

All Around the Zodiac: Exploring Astrology’s Twelve Signs, by Bil Tierney

Explanation:  This book gives an enlightened description of each of the twelve zodiac signs, why their order is significant in evolution, and it gives you a more positive way of understanding yourself.  Many astrology books I’ve read focus on the negative aspects of your sun, planets, or other elements when frankly it’s not necessary.  This book gives you a much more realistic and approachable way to understanding the zodiac.  One of my favorites.

Aspects in Astrology: A Guide to Understanding Planetary Relationships in the Horoscope, by Sue Tompkins

Explanation:  Aspects are one of the more complex parts to astrology and this book explains the diverse relationships between planets.  Simple as that, it’s written beautifully and easily, and it gives you the information you’re asking for.
